Well, I know it could be expensive to try different razors until you find the one you like (Vintage Razor Rental Business Maybe a good idea? Hmmm, have to think about that.........) Anyway, lost my train of thought. I have bought, sold, collected and shaved with so ,any razors it is impossible to count, however, for whatever reason, I always end up back with a razor that just happens to be from my birth year. Totally coincidence by the way. I use a Gillette Date Code Z3 1954 Super Speed with Gillette Silver Blue blades. If anything, this would be a good place to start as well as an inexpensive test as they are not that expensive on the auction sites. Also have to keep in mind that a blade has not touched my chin or moustache in over 40 years so not sure how it works there, but what I do shave comes out to be BBS.

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth of thoughts

I'm a fan of using my 1961 Gillette Slim Adjustable with Astra blades. I'm no expert, but so far that's the combo that personally gives me the best shave. I still plan to try other combinations of blades and razors. I have a few vintage Gillettes that I rotate.

I have a SCHICK KRONA the kind with the black knob, and a Gillette Slim Adjustable. I love using the adjustable a little more because it has different settings.

The Super Speed Buyer's guide above seems to result in an error.
